Brentwood Council is charged with appointing a solicitor to provide legal expertise. Tom Ayoob currently serves as counsel to the Borough. The solicitor’s duties include overseeing Council meetings, reviewing proposed ordinances and resolutions, drafting contracts, and conducting legal research. Solicitor Ayoob also represents the municipality in litigation and files liens and other claims on its behalf.  

The Borough utilizes a third party to complement our in-house engineer. Jennifer Slagle of The Gateway Engineers provides professional advice on complex infrastructural projects. The engineer offers technical knowledge so as to assure that municipal plans are executed in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner. Gateway also manages the Borough’s GIS mapping system.

Brentwood Borough also employees an outside transportation engineer to conduct traffic studies and assist with planning for highway improvement projects. The firm of L.R. Kimball & Associates is charged with offering this professional service.
