Grant Award Lays Foundation for Pool Renovations Print E-mail

 

The proposed enhancements to Brentwood’s community pool recently came one step closer to fruition. The Borough is excited to announce that it received the full $175,000 that was requested through the Community Infrastructure & Tourism Fund. This highly competitive grant program is made possible through fees paid by the gaming industry. Brentwood seeks to utilize this award to partially fulfill the matching requirements of a larger grant proposal that was submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development.  

 
Residents Needed to Participate in Research Study on Route 51 Corridor Improvements Print E-mail

How can civic engagement be utilized to improve the often arcane and cumbersome process of commercial corridor planning? As part of their investigation into this important topic, researchers at Carnegie Mellon University are collecting data from Brentwood and Whitehall Boroughs. A deliberative community forum pertaining to the Route 51 corridor will be held on July 11th at the Brentwood Community Room. The event will begin at 6PM and will feature small group discussions and conversations with a panel of experts. The organizers are seeking a minimum of 20 participants. Sampling Scheduled for Area Waterways Print E-mail

 

Employees from Pennsylvania American Water and its affiliated consultants will be testing for pollutants in Saw Mill Run and its tributaries. In order to access the streams, it may be necessary for these individuals to traverse private property. Staff members will drive conspicuously marked vehicle and will carry PAW credentials.  For more information, please click here.
