The Borough of Brentwood partners with peer municipalities to acquire trash and recycling services at the lowest possible unit cost for its residents. Beginning January 1, 2019, refuse services will be provided by Waste Management. Properties that contain three or fewer dwelling units are required to utilized this disposal company. A service fee will be included on the monthly sewage bill for the associated address. Limited exemptions are provided for homes that have been permanently vacated due to the relocation or death of the owner. The Borough cannot close a refuse account without receipt of the waiver document available below. Owners of commercial structures or apartment buildings with four or more units must independently contract with a licensed vendor.

Trash is collected on a weekly basis, while recycling is picked up every two weeks. Please note that, in accordance with the waste removal contract, the Borough restricts the types of goods that can be recycled. Brentwood residents can additionally dispose of household hazardous wastes, such as automotive products, household chemicals, lawn & garden chemicals, pool chemicals, paints, and electronics via a specialized program. Th schedule a no cost appointment for the collection of these items, contact Waste Management at 800-449-7587 or via www.wmatyourdoor.com.

Borough staff serve as customer support liasons. If you have questions about your account, please contact Denise Assenti at 412-884-1500 x115 or Amy Medway at x118.
