Between the frenzied shopping expectations and myriad family and workplace events, finding time for exercise can be exceedingly difficult during the month of December. Furthermore, chilly weather conditions and early sunsets often preclude outdoor activities. Brentwood Borough is working to make it easier for area residents to stay in shape this holiday season by debuting two all-new fitness classes. On Tuesday nights, individuals of all ages and ability levels are invited to join our instructor for an “amped up” version of kettlebell. Elevate your heartrate and sculpt each of your major muscle groups by moving weights to the rhythm of high-energy songs. This sixty minute course will move quickly, as participants get lost in the beats of danceable tunes. Looking for more of a challenge? Stop by on Thursday for a Body Blast session. This workout is designed to increase strength and stamina through a combination of intense cardio and weight-based repetitions. Both classes will take place at the Brentwood Civic Center at 6PM.
Admission to ten sessions can be purchased online for $60. Want to try a single class to find out if these exercises are right for you? Tickets can be obtained at the door for $8. These courses are designed to maximize the burning of calories…which means that you won’t have to feel guilty about taking that extra cookie from Santa!
